Description
“The Landes, at the Dawn of a New Balance” is a 52-minute French documentary film directed by Guy Beauché. It is one of the episodes in the documentary series entitled Reclaiming the Forests.
Cyclone Klaus on January 24, 2009, laid bare the vulnerabilities of Europe's largest man-made woodland. Striking with record-breaking wind gusts exceeding 170 km/h, the storm dramatically reshaped the Landes forest.
